Metro Hydraulics was established in 1983 to supply hydraulic expertise and to support the needs of the manufacturing, mining and shipping industries with the provision of services required in the design, manufacture, sales and service of hydraulic systems.
The company has been involved with some of Australia's major manufacturing, Industrial, Mining, Construction and Marine companies with the design and manufacture of complete systems including power units and cylinders along with the service and complete refurbish/upgrade of existing systems by our experienced staff. We also offer on-site service of all hydraulic equipment and a full after hour service is provided by our service team and equipped vehicles.
During the past 39 years the company has been involved with major overhaul of tunnelling machinery and components (hard rock and coal mining), smelting works (aluminium manufacture ladle tipping), marine industry (Deck raise and lower control), Government public service facilities (Traffic control) as well as the design and manufacture and service of large and small hydraulic cylinders both Mill and Industrial type for building products (cement manufacturers).

The company has 2 operations located in both Smithfield (Sydney) and our regional workshop in Mudgee for our western area customers with the view to expanding our services to support the existing industry requirements and planned future growth of mining and engineering.
The company has a plan to follow a diversified path to provide mainstream hydraulic design, manufacture, sales and services to a range of industries in conjunction with our manufacturing and product partners through distribution and support systems which have been developed over the past 40 years.
